The Icom IC-7610 Review

I love the two meters and the filters are very good, especially theĀ  noise reduction and noise blanker. I find the receive audio to be very clean, while the transmits gets nothing but good reviews. The preamp works nicely by amplifying the signa; but not the noise, like on my more expensive Elecraft k4.
The 5 year warranty is nice to have. I did need to use it so I can not say how well it is honored. If you favor QRO or like to do low power testing the power can be cranked down to 0.1 watt. Most radios stop at 5 watts. There were zero issues with the radio. Icom must have all the bugs worked out.
It is a nice radio and a definite step up from the IC-7300, but I am not really an Icom fan, so it does not get much use anymore so I may be selling it.
